“I had a great experience at The Bridal Lounge. Abi was extremely professional and excellent at her job. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. As I tried on each dress, Abi listening to what I liked and did not like and found other dresses according to what suited me. Fantastic experience overall. I would definitely recommend to friends. Thank you!”

When should I start shopping for my dress?

Ok there is no straight forward answer to this ... some Bridal designers are taking a little longer to produce our gorgeous gowns at the moment so we do recommend starting your search roughly 12-15 months before the wedding. However ... the biggest piece of advice we can give here is to start when you are emotionally and financially ready to find your dress! Most Brides are surprised at how quickly they find their dress but not ready to commit straight away! You then run the risk of your dream dress potentially being discontinued by the time you are ready to commit. For this reason, we recommend you only start shopping when you are ready to say YAS!

What sample sizes do you carry?

We carry a range of sizes from a UK10-UK24 with the majority of gowns being a UK size 14/16. Bridal sizing does run small so if you wear a size 12 on the highstreet, realistically you will be a bridal size 14/16. Every designer has their own sizing chart meaning you will vary in size between the designers! Ultimately, we want your dress to fit your body perfectly on your big day therefore we base your dress size on your measurements. This way we can ensure your dress is perfect for you!

How many people can I bring to my appointment and who?

Our fitting suites are private spaces, meaning they are cosy. They can comfortably seat 3 guests along with the bride. We recommend you keep your entourage small and choose those people who will support you and your Wedding day vision! Your guests should be your biggest cheerleaders so ensure you share your vision with them before you arrive!
Too many guests leads to too many opinions and trust me when I say, really can confuse the Bride! If you really feel you need to share your dress with a larger number of people, we recommend bringing the most important ones to the initial consultation and then booking in for a retry appointment with the rest of the crew after you have said yes!

What should I bring with me?

We recommend wearing nude or neutral coloured underwear, don't go to the expense of buying a new strapless bra, chances are it'll be coming off during your appointment anyway as most dresses are structured with plenty of bust support! If you have a favourite pair of heels your planning on wearing then feel free to bring them however heels are provided in the fitting rooms. A bottle of water to keep you hydrated during your appointment, its thirsty work hoping in and out of dresses!

Can I wear tan?

No unfortunately not. Tan very easily rubs off onto our dresses which is not very pleasant for the next Bride when trying on so we ask that you please arrive minus tan. Makeup is fine!

How long does the Consultation last?

Our Bridal Consultations are 90 minutes long where Brides generally get through 6/7 dresses (depending on how quick and instinctive you are) and our Retry Consultatins last for 1 hour. Our Retry's are for those Ladies who have visited us before and are wanting to come back to say that big all important YAS to the dress!
We also offer Bridesmaids Consultations in a private fitting suite that consists of 2 changing cubicles. These Consultations last for 75 minutes.

What is the price range?

The majority of our gowns are priced between €1200-€2600 with our Couture Collections of Sassi Holford and It Was All A Dream Bridal retailing €2700-€4600

What happens if I find my dress?

If you say that all important YAS, we'll start your ordering process! We get you measured there and then in so we can fill out your order form with all the relevant information for you, your wedding and your dress whilst enjoying a glass of the fizzy stuff! To secure your dress, a deposit of 50% of the RRP will be required at this point and then its time to get Insta ready for your Yes To The Dress moment!

What are the next steps?

We generally take delivery of your gorgeous gowns roughly 10-12 weeks prior to your big day, at this point we're starting to get your dress prepped for fittings aka alterations! If you choose to use one of our recommended dressmakers, we'll get you booked for your first in store fitting roughly 6-8 weeks out from the big day! This is your initial fitting so we recommend bringing your underwear and shoes with you for this appointment. The dressmaker will then book you in for your second and third fitting with collection being the week of your wedding ensuring the most accurate fit!

How can I prepare for my Bridal appointment?

This is a great question ... prior to booking any Bridal appointment, we always recommend for future Brides to do a little research into styles of dresses and/or designers they are drawn too! We recommend booking appointments at the boutiques that carry the selection/s of gowns you are drawn to, to ensure you get to try the best selection of gowns for you. Doing this will hopefully get you to the best boutiques for your vibe so you don't get dress fatigued (it's a real thing) and overwhelmed trying either too many dresses or confusing your vision!
